Through highly detailed instruction, The Erika Bloom Method’s signature Essential Movement ensures access to every muscle through guided functional movement, resulting in a long, lean, healthy body.

Erika created Essential Movement based on years of studying modalities including Pilates, yoga, Feldenkrais, Cunningham, Bartenieff and structural integration to help bring her own body into alignment.

Rather than employing existing movement patterns that use already dominant muscle groups, you will learn to rebalance fascia lines, engage your intrinsic musculature to adjust imbalances and retrain your neuromuscular system, affecting body-changing results.

Each practice serves as education for your body as you learn how to breathe, restore energy, strengthen and tone, and release tension to create better posture and support for your digestion, mood, immunity and sleep.

In all of our studios we use the Pilates apparatus in addition to props from other modalities for our sessions. In the Tribeca studio we offer Essential Movement sessions on our Gyrotonic tower by request.
